(11-14) The Modiano company in Milan published a series of postcards featuring Verdi's Rigoletto. I'm uncertain as to how many postcards were actually produced. One note of interest, at least two different artists were used for this set. L. Bigliardi (spelling?) was the artist used for the postcards with the nouveau-styled border and E. Malerba (spelling?) provided the artwork for the plain-bordered postcards. I don't know if this pattern holds true for all of the postcards that may have been produced in this series.

Identified so far:

  • Act I - Tu che d'un padre ridi il dolor Sii maledetto (E. Malerba) - Plain border

  • Act II - Soccorso, padre mio! (E. Malerba) - Plain border

  • Act III - No vecchio t'inganni... (L. Bigliardi) - Nouveau border

  • Act III - Si vendetta, tremenda vendetta (L. Bigliardi) - Nouveau border (seen above)

(15) Another lithographed postcard celebrating 100 years since Verdi's birth. Published in 1913.

(16-19) This particular set of postcards was dedicated to Verdi and his operas. They all contain an operatic scene and an inset portrait of Verdi. They were produced by Flli Künzl - Zurigo.

(20) A beautifully lithographed postcard published in 1900. "Inebbriato dai melodici concert del Genio Verdiano il mio pensiero a voi si volge."
