Mr. Franko completed yesterday the twenty-fifth anniversary of his entry upon an active musical career, and, in recognition of this fact, the members of Mr. Grau’s company and the employees of the Metropolitan Opera House presented him with a silver salver and a check for a considerable sum.” Brooklyn Eagle; 10 Mar 1902.
