The nouveau Wagner sets, numbers 690 through 695 (imprinted on the back), are generally attributed to the Raphael Tuck & Sons company. However, these same cards can be found published by a German company, E.S.D., as well. The E.S.D. postcards have the E.S.D. publisher imprint present on the front of the cards along with the set number. I don't know which set came first but they are all pre-1905. The postcards have distinctive nouveau borders completely surrounding a scene from one of Wagner's operas, and they all have undivided backs. The unsigned artwork is attributed to Franz Stassen.
