(Dame) Eva Turner: English soprano (10 Mar 1892 - ): Leading singer of Carl Rosa Opera Company. Well known at Covent Garden and throughout Italy. Dresden, Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Chicago Opera, Boston Opera. Well known Turandot. (Dame) Maggie Teyte: English soprano (17 Apr 1888 - 26 May 1876): Studied with Jean de Reszke. Stage debut Monte Carlo 1907. Created Glycere (Circe), Princess (The Perfect Fool). Noted for her Mélisande. Irma Ackté Tervani, sister of soprano Aïno Ackté. Joachim Tartakov: Russian baritone (South Russia: 1860 - St. Petersburg: 1923): Graduated from St. Petersburg Conservatory in 1881 and joined the Odessa Opera Company as first baritone that same year. Debut 1882. Leading baritone at Marinsky. Became Director of Marinsky in 1900. Taught at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. He also sang in Berlin, Copenhagen, and other European cities. Richard Tauber [orig. Ernst Sieffert Denemy]: Austrian, later British tenor. (16 May 1891 - 8 Jan 1948): Debut Chemnitz, 1913 as Tamino. Milka Ternina: Croatian soprano (19 Dec 1863 - 18 May 1941): Debut Zagreb 1882 as Amelia. First London Tosca. First NY Tosca and Kundry (banned from Bayreuth for singing in this unapproved performance). Repertory of 85 roles. Forced by paralysis to retire in 1916. Edna Thornton: English contralto (1875 - 15 Jul 1958): Studied with Sir Charles Santley. Debut 1899 at Daly's Theater, London, in Ib and Little Christina. Sang in the first complete Ring Cycle at Covent Garden. Sang in premiere of The Perfect Fool. Luisa Tetrazzini: Italian coloratura soprano (29 Jun 1871 - 28 Apr 1940): Debut Florence 1890 as Inez (L'Africaine). Died in poverty! Cecile Thévenet: Mezzo-soprano. Opéra-Comique, Monte Carlo Opera. Marie Thierry [or Thiéry]: French soprano (1875 - 1918): Debut 27 Oct 1898 in Mireille. Brilliant career at the Opéra-Comique. Created title role of Muguette (Edmond Missa: 18 Mar 1903); Georget in L'Enfant Roi (Bruneau: 3 Mar 1905); Geneviève in Le Clos (Charles Silver: 6 Jun 1906). Czech soprano Ella Torek (19 Feb 1878 - 8 Sep 1918) as Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier. Munich.  She made her debut (1898) as ‘Marenka’ in Smetana’s opera The Bartered Bride. She created two roles in Wolf- Ferrari operas: ‘Rosaura’ in Le Donne Curiose (1903) and the role of ‘Susanna’ in Il Segreto di Susanna.
